Name: Jason Lantz

Where you are from: Smithville, Ohio

Your Story: I was a “churchy” person who knew what to say and what to do, but had no relationship with Jesus Christ. I came to a real relationship with Jesus b/c I met Christ through a group of guys that let the Risen Jesus live through them (Col 1:27). I’m convinced that I’m a Christ follower today because of that, and I pray that my life and ministry at RiverTree exemplifies the same new covenant message.

What you do at RiverTree: Hang out with a lot of great people and teach in “Mosaic” (anyone 12-20’s) at RiverTree.

Family: My Girls- Suzi is my wife of 3 years this May and Caris is our 14 month old daughter. My twin sister Sarah and younger sister Rachel live in Canton, and my parents still live in my hometown of Smithville.

Favorite Sports Team: Sometimes I don’t know why- but the Browns, Tribe, and CavsFavorite

Movie: Good Will Hunting, Rocky IV, Shawshank Redemption, Dumb & Dumber

Favorite Pastime: Watching my daughter Caris run around the living room. The game of football. Other sports stuff. Playing my guitar and singing. Reading the Scriptures (I used to think the Bible was boring, then I asked the Holy Spirit to get me excited about reading it (Luke 9: 9-13), and now I can’t get enough!)

Little Known Fact: When the Browns lost the AFC championship game to John Elway on “the Drive” in 1986- it ruined my 7th birthday party.

Favorite Quote: “He is no fool who gives what he can’t keep to gain what he can’t lose” –Jim Eliot

Who would you most like to have dinner with? I’d like to go to the Olive Garden with my wife, the apostle Paul, C.S. Lewis, and John Geib- and just listen to them talk

What can you always find in my refrigerator: Bacon and Dr. Pepper
